Hi, I’m Maria! A Swedish-born Art Director and Illustrator who has spent most of my career creating things on the other side of the world.

After more than 15 years working in advertising across Australia and Canada, I’ve made my way back to Sweden and am now based in Stockholm, working with clients around the world.

​

My career has taken me through some pretty incredible agencies, including Ogilvy, Droga5, BWM, ColmanRasic and Richards Rose in Sydney, as well as LMNO and WJ Agency in Canada. Along the way, I’ve worked on campaigns for brands like NIVEA, Lindt, Woolworths and Campari, as well as Canadian organizations including SaskTel, PharmaChoice Canada, Discover Saskatoon, Huskies Athletics and a variety of hospital foundations.

Over the years, illustration has become a big part of my creative world. Today, I bring together art direction, design and illustration, developing everything from creative concepts and campaigns to distinctive illustration styles, characters and visual storytelling for brands, books and beyond.

I love a clever idea, a good visual story and work with a little personality. Whether it’s a full campaign or a single illustration, I bring the same curiosity, creativity and attention to detail to every project.
